{vintage pillowcase dress}

This is an 18-24 month dress made from a vintage pillowcase. If anyone is interested I am selling it for $15. Just leave me a comment or email me.

And made my first pair of shoes for Ava. I made them to match her Easter dress. I have material to make her some other styles. I made some mistakes because I didn't follow the pattern exactly. I modified it a bit. But I am proud of these for my first ones.

Look what Becky made for me!!! :) I am so excited! She is still working on the text so that will change but oh!!!! That owl!!!! I ♥ him!!!! He is just the cutest!!!! Don't you love how she did the stitching...! And I love how he looks a little cross-eyed. And the colors...love them...and love the punch of teal...PERFECT!

{repurposing}

I also found a tshirt at the thrift store that I made this little dress out of. It's really cute on Ava. I will take pics of her wearing these at a later date.
This was my first time doing the shirring. And the pockets were made from the sleeves.
Mark really liked this dress...not sure what exactly it was that he liked but it made me feel good that he did! :)

Easter outfits for {a} & {j}

These are Jack and Ava's Easter outfits I made for this year. I wanted simple and classic... This was my first time doing boy pants. He was so excited when he found out I was sewing something for him. He is so tiny though! I had to take the original pants in about 3 inches on each side and the crotch in about 2 inches!

I love the bow tie! He looks so cute in it. I wasn't planning on making the bow tie...I made a bow for Ava's hair and thought it would be cute as a bow tie for him too. They are getting their Easter pics taken tomorrow in these outfits. I'll post those when I get them back.

Then I made {a} a little short summer dress out of scraps from this project and a previous one...isn't she adorable in those boots? We have a picture of me at her age in just a diaper and cowboy boots..I will have to try and recreate that this summer with her. I think she likes the dress.
